Are you available for a contract at present?My client is looking for a Network contractor who specialises in Cisco Nexus switches and ideally has some Network design experience to start tomorrow if possible, telephone interviews will be held today. Any experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls would be beneficial, but a sound understanding of Cisco networking and experience supporting Nexus switches is essential!
The role will primarily be based in Derby and will involve working with a small project team to help design and implement a converged network to underpin a new server platform being built in the datacentre. This will involve advising the project team and assisting in the creation of a low level design before helping install and configure the equipment ready for go-live. Once the installation is complete, you will also be required to contribute to any documentation that is required for the platform to be transitioned into day-to-day support. The role may also require that you provide some general assistance/advice to the team with any in-service network issues as and when required.
