Description
I am currently working with a company in the Sheffield, Bristol, Manchester, Northampton and Birmingham area that are looking to recruit a number of Electrical Design Engineers.The work is for Independent Connection Providers and will involve the Electrical Design of connections. These connections will mainly involve the connection to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) but will also involve Private Connections.
The work will range from 11-33kV on projects such as Solar Farms, Commercial Buildings and Industrial Buildings.
The role will involve:
Designing new LV & HV connections involving underground and overhead line assets, in line with each DNO's specifications.
Determine LV points of connection on existing DNO networks in line with DNO's guidance.
Prepare and submit formal HV/LV Point of Connection requests and Contestable Design Approval requests to DNO's.
Provide advice to other Power Team managers, engineers and staff on DNO ICP connection processes and technical policies.
Design experience within a DNO, ICP or IDNO regularly involving network design of LV & HV mains and distribution substations would be ideal!
The roles are all long term contract positions (6-18 months) paying between £30-40/hour depending on experience.
