Description
This global pharmaceutical leader are looking for a leading neurology expert to join their Medical Affairs team.Key Responsibilities:
- Apply in depth knowledge of neurology to stimulate product discussion using a non- promotional and relevant scientific approach demonstrating awareness of regulations and best practice
- Lead clinical studies and projects as required by the medical department overseeing process and procedure including post marketing clinical activities
- Lead investigator or initiated study ideas to support local and global medical teams and act as the main contact for thought leaders
- Update and educate internal sales and marketing teams and provide training for colleagues
- Assist physicians with access requests for company medicines where appropriate
- Ensure up to date knowledge of current medical affairs through product trial work, conferences, meetings, NHS structure and competitor research and feedback to internal stakeholders to inform company strategy
- Enhance the company profile by establishing your position as an expert neuroscience MSL through presence at academic sites, facilitating research and educational projects and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
- Encourage local, regional and global support attending conferences, meetings and on advisory boards.

- Able to demonstrate medical and scientific knowledge of therapy area
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- An influential individual who displays confidence and is a good team player
- Ability to process information quickly and accurately
- Good negotiator who is able to demonstrate understanding and flexibility in order to reach amicable agreements with the company's clinical and scientific program associates
- Good time management with the proven ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus and a passion for medical affairs
Key Skills:
Advanced IT skills namely in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
In depth knowledge of ABPI and code of practice
Ability to commute regularly and travel by car and plane
Valid full clean driver's licence
Desirable attributes:
Experience of Parkinson's Disease
Advanced degree (e.g. PharmD., MD, PhD)
Experience in an MSL role/ similar Medical Affairs role
A good understanding of written and oral English
