Classic ASP Developer - Leading Logistics Software Provider: 3-6 month contract in Dublin

An industry leading Logistics software provider is seeking a talented .Net Developer to join their development team based in West Dublin.

You will have experience developing web applications with Classic Asp, Visual Studio, Visual Basic and Javascript languages.

Role: Classic Asp Developer

Location: West Dublin

Duration: 3-6month contract

Rate: daily rate

You will have a solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions, excellent debugging and problem solving skills and strong abilities writing Javascript and Google API's.

Skills:

- At least 5 years experience programming/scripting in VB Script or ASP.NET

- Experience building 3rd party plug-ins for a JS framework (jQuery, etc)

- Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies (AJAX, CSS, XML, - JavaScript, VBScript, DHTML)

- Knowledge about geospatial exchange data formats such as KML, GML, GeoJSON.

- Strong ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solvecomplex design and coding problems

- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and techniques, and continuous development

- Experience with source control (SVN).

Distinct Advantage

- Functional experience with Google Maps API: Reverse geocoding, Driving directions, Street view and complex overlays.

- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills (use of Firebug plug-in, chrome developer tools)
