Cobol/Micro Focus Specialist - 6 month contract - Irish Financial Industry
Leading National financial institution currently requires a Micro Focus Cobol Specialist to join their organisation on a 6 month daily rate contract.

Role: Mainframe Developer

Duration: 6 month daily rate contract

Location: Dublin 1

X-Factor: Large organisation, challenging projects, excellent location.
Day to Day:
The administration, Architecture, Design, Coding and Support of Microfocus Cobol and the overall Microfocus Environment, including Enterprise Server installations.

Provide support for installations and configuration setup and connectivity with

Upgrade planning, coordination and implementation specialist knowledge
The organisation is extremely well established within the Irish Financial Industry with a location that connects to all major Dublin City Centre transport links.
Skills:

-Third level qualification in Computer Science or related discipline

- At least 6 years experience in the installation, configuration, development and implementation of Micro Focus COBOL.

- Professional background with legacy systems such as MVS/Cobol/DB2

-Good technical knowledge of relational databases DB2 LUW and SQL Server

- Micro Focus backup, recovery and disaster recovery procedures. Supporting and maintaining Switching of servers during failover.

- Experience in providing Micro Focus technical support
