I have an immediate opening for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a leading medical device company based in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company in a senior position with excellent benefits on offer.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Provide technical support to Rotor Manufacturing Operation consistent with the business objectives of Quality, velocity/performance and cost.
- Lead efforts to ensure that all processes, equipment, materials and methods used in the manufacture of rotor products are as per requirements
and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO regulations.
- Leadership of projects to resolve complex technical issues with products, processes and equipment.
- Leadership of technology transfer projects.
- Leadership of projects related to Lean/DBS Manufacturing.
- Specification, procurement and qualification testing of new equipment.
- Initiation and tracking of Engineering Change Orders and the verification and release of new / updated manufacturing documentation.
- Lead in CAPA activities and disposition of non-conforming material.
- Provide technical support with respect to strategic issues.
- Liaison with overseas colleagues as required.
- The provision of technical guidance and assistance as needed to support departments related to rotor manufacturing.
- Ensure the adherence to the quality system and environmental, health and safety requirements in all technical operations activity.

Requirements:
- Third level qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of CNC machining and programming as well as CAD/CAM systems.
- A minimum of five years relevant manufacturing experience in the engineering industry.
- Experience in Project Management and a good understanding of GMP, ISO requirements are beneficial.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify problems and take corrective action.
- Candidates with programming experience are highly desired.
