A leading medical device company are currently looking for 2 Senior Manufacturing Engineers to join their team in Galway.

Job Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Production and Ops Quality to deliver Operational objectives, and liaise closely with all relevant departments to support business objectives
* Responsible for managing the Operations Engineering Team and developing them to meet the challenging requirements of the Medical Device Industry.
* Drive a data driven culture and effective problem solving approach.
* Drive improvement in equipment and process performance in a sustainable and methodical manner.
* Evaluate new/improved technologies and prepare ROI proposals to senior management for investment planning.
* Effectively manage the execution of engineering to deliver yield, NPI, cycle time and efficiency goals.
* Develop Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the engineering team to support and advance production processes.
* Drive the personal development of the engineering team in a structured and transparent manner.
* Identify and project manage a diverse array of Engineering related projects. Ensure safety and product quality are never compromised and good ergonomic principles are applied.
* Responsible for Health & Safety within assigned areas to include accident investigation and corrective action.
* Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Key Requirements:
* B. Eng. (or equivalent experience) and at least 7 years relevant experience.
* Must have proven track record in managing and developing a professional / technical team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to implement Process Capability and Lean Principles in every aspect of Engineering.
* Working knowledge of six sigma would be a distinct advantage.
* Strong knowledge of ISO and FDA requirements.
* A good background in volume manufacture and tool room services, in addition to a strong knowledge of operational business processes
