Security architect required for my client, a global blue chip company who are currently undergoing substantial internal growth, the ideal security architect will also have strong project management skills to head up their team of Security and network professionals. They require this candidate to start work in January.

Location: Warrington
Rate: Per day
Contract Length: 6 Months

A Brief overview of the role;
-Planning security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
-Implementing security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
-Verifying security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
-Maintaining security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
-Upgrading security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.
-Preparing system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Skills/Qualifications: Network Security, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Protocols, Networking Standards, Supervision, Conceptual Skills, Decision Making, Informing Others, Functional and Technical Skills, Dependability, Information Security Policies. Vast knowledge over all security standards.

Experience with configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, services and malware detection as well as a strong understanding of security requirements around CCTV, Wifi and access control systems.

Essential experience and job requirements:
- Have led, or had key roles, in a broad range of architecture disciplines including change programmes in large, complex, global organisations, and is able to operate in a complex matrix environment where it is necessary to use influencing techniques and effective communications to a range of levels of management, project and operations personnel, including senior management, to achieve successful results.
Experience with configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, services and malware detection as well as a strong understanding of security requirements around CCTV, Wifi and access control systems.
