Migration / System Engineer Log Management Splunk - Unix - LinuxOur Client in Zurich is seeking:
Main tasks/activities:
- The engineer will be part of a team migrating Splunk version 4 to version 6.
- Engineer Splunk 6 components
- Build packages in Linux RPM Format
- Create and execute manual and/or automated tests
- Updated / adjust current code fragments in Bash, Python and Java
Education:
- Bsc / Msc in Computer Science or relevant working experience
- 3+ years in IT Systems & Software Engineering
- Experience working in a large enterprise
Systems/programming languages/databases:
- Unix, Linux /At least one Object Oriented Language (e.g. .NET, JAVA, C++, etc.) /
- Log management know how (Splunk preferred)
- Understanding of networks, code versioning
- Experience in the area of security in general
languages
- Very good English skills
- German is an advantage
