Our client is looking to recruit a SOA Developer to work as a team member of the Integration Architecture team. This team is responsible for architecting and implementing a service oriented architecture across the IT organization. This role will focus on the delivery and support of new and existing ESB and BPEL services and it will also provide the opportunity to work with Oracle SOA Suite technologies.

The Role

  • Maintain, modify and enhance core SOA architecture

  • Design and developer XML schemas used within the enterprise

  • Refine and optimize existing SOA projects, including ESB and BPEL

  • Research and developer proof of concepts for new projects

  • Help lead in the definition and maintenance of best practices in the development of SOA components

  • Work independently in order to deliver customer service solutions for the application teams, from requirements and design through development, testing and production rollout

  • Communicate clearly and effectively within the SOA group and with the respective application teams

  • Provide innovative solutions and explore and learn new technologies

Technical skills:

  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design, development and implementation
  • Extensive knowledge of SOA governance concepts, design, development and implementation
  • Exhibits good development, project management and time management skills
  • Familiarity with iterative development life cycle and methodology
  • Relational database (Oracle, SQLServer, DB2)
