Location: Any Location in Europe (Nordics, or Benelux or Spain or Hungary)
Job Description
- Familiarity with the hardware, software and management of the components and interactions of Cargill's computing architecture
- UNIX, Linux, AIX and Windows OS and general file system administration,
- Tape Library setup and configurations
- Database (Oracle, MS-SQL) backup strategies.
- De-duplication concepts and technologies
- Strong competency with CommVault Simpana Software (v9 and V10) suite architecture, and implementations.
- Familiarity with the following is an advantage:
- Data Backup technologies: Commvault, Large Tape libraries
- Storage Array hardware: EMC - DMX, Clarion, VMAX, NetApp - V and FAS series arrays, EMC Celerra
- Storage software: EMC Control Center, EMC Storage Scope, SRDF, Navisphere Manager
- Storage Replication Technologies: SRDF, EMC RecoverPoint, Network Appliance Snapmirror, Network Appliance Snapview
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the Technical Support team assisting with the incident management - troubleshooting and correcting significant backup issues.
- Perform Level 2 and Level 3 Incident resolution by providing break/fix support for issues escalated from Operations Support. Perform root causes analyses of incidents and make recommendations.
- Address performance issues for business users.
- Become part of the established on-call as needed to cover support during the out of office hours and/or weekends.
- Perform projects and service requests execution as a data backup specialist to support business;
- Collaborate with other project team members and monitor progress towards project goals and objectives;
