My client is a leading Rail Engineering, Design and Construction business.

They are looking to bring on a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) to work as part of a large-scale construction programme in the South East of England. The role has come about as the current CRE is moving on from the business, and a replacement needs to be brought in to take the project forward. The CRE will be acting as a project manager for the design, delivery and construction phase of the project.

The CRE will be responsible for leading and directing the engineering activities for the construction team, and therefore allowing for a timely completion of the work stages, ensuring that the work and its associated milestones are completed on time, and dealing with the project engineering budgets and ensuring the costs-levels are maintained.

Another part of the role will include communicating with the design, construction and engineering staff, along with the various sub-contractors to ensure that any issues that arise are dealt with.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record of successful deliveries within the Rail sector
  • Possess an Engineering/Technical Background
  • Successful track record of Project Delivery as a Project Manager
  • Bridge Demolition/Construction experience
  • Previous experience as a CRE.
  • Good working relationship with Network Rail, and knowledge of the requirements for CP5.

If you have the above experience, please send over an up to date CV for immediate consideration.
