Description
Due to continuous success in their market, my client is enjoying massive growth and has added this role as a result. The role is contract to hire is due to the teams' necessity for the additional support as quickly as possible. After six months this will be a permanent role.This role requires the following skills:
- Demonstrates developed knowledge of respective scientific discipline and standard scientific method and techniques
- Typical Masters level or equivalent experience
- Under minimal supervision applies scientific knowledge and skills within respective discipline to a variety of assignments
- Plans workflow based on assigned work
- May develop and implement experimental plans within existing procedures or established standards
- Thoughtful execution of experimental laboratory work
- Demonstrates scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
- Contributes to publications and patents
- Be prepared to present data with approved recommendations
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Education: B.S./M.S. in Chemistry, Pharmacy,or Chemical Engineering discipline with 2 - 5 years of related scientific experience
- Contributed directly to new product development and transfer to manufacturing
- Hands-on use/training with chemistry (e.g. UV, IR, HPLC, etc.) and engineering (e.g. compression, fatigue, tensile, etc.) test equipment
- Utilization of Design of Experiments (DoE) for product development
- Preparation and characterization of novel formulations is preferred, but not required
- Combination product experience is preferred, but not required
- Infection prevention (antibiotic, antiseptic) is desired, but not required
- GMP experience/training is preferred, but not required
- Understands the design control process (design inputs/outputs, risk management, DHF, etc.)
- Mathematical and reasoning ability. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Continuously has shown the ability to develop new laboratory skills throughout career
- Ability to work with colleagues and multiple clients in a professional and organized manner, and interact effectively with a variety of people from different nationalities, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, and educational levels
- Should be able to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, draw valid scientific conclusions, and propose solutions or corrective actions
- Ability to organize and prioritize work with limited guidance in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to reorganize and reschedule work on short notice in order to meet revised client deadlines
