Day to day role will include:

Ensuring that the commercial products are manufactured to the plan within budget, to the correct quality and to customers' expectations, according to cGMP and Regulatory requirements.

Ensure that the EHS Compliance is maintained.

Completing and reviewing risk assessments.

Preparation and management of the manufacturing budget.

Review and effective management of production cost centres on an on-going basis.

Ensure that adequate plans are developed to provide appropriate resources that enable production to be completed in the most efficient manner.

Provide training and development to staff

Management of all Production personnel and to ensure that the department, premises and equipment are maintained and operated to the required standards and in a safe manner.

Actively maintain and update knowledge and expertise of current developments, standards and operating practices within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries

Support in the design or development of new equipment/processes for existing and future requirements

Education and Experience

Degree in a scientific discipline with manufacturing management experience or a relevant qualification

IT Literate

Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and ideally a recognised six sigma/ lean sigma qualification.

Preferably experienced in the use of ERP production module or MRP

Strong understanding of cGMP for medical devices and/or pharmaceutical

Recruitment and conduct interviews

Man-management and good communication skills are essential

Ability to train others and deliver clear instruction
