Senior Business Analyst & Business Analysts / Edinburgh / £40K - £55KA Major Bank is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to provide analysis and insight to the business in relation to the price modelling process.
- Deliver solutions which has generate significant P&L and balance sheet benefit.
- Provide accurate, insightful and timely product analysis and review which helps the Commercial team to drive performance.
- Develop tools and models which generate insight and support commercial decision making.
- Ensure database has appropriate scope and structure of data to support efficient and effective analysis.
- Insure stakeholders are receiving all the support they need to make the right business decisions.
- Influence stakeholders and be part of the decision making process within projects and business wide activities.
- Designing and developing key tools.
- Reviewing financial controls and processes in my area and identify opportunities
- Assist the forecast and budget processes
Key Skills
- Knowledge of financial/ statistical modelling.
- Familiar with a range of analytical and statistical techniques.
- Understanding of financial modelling solutions
- Proficient use of SAS/ SQL/ Excel and VB
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Interpret analytical results and present to stakeholders
- Expertise in my line of business in financial services
- Experience working on modelling and analytics
- Proficient in use of economic assessment models
- Knowledge of statistical modelling eg, regression and price sensitivity
- Manage and co-ordinate project deliverables that extend over a number of weeks
- Datawarehouse interrogation coding experience
Salary - 40K - £55K
