SQL Server Database Administrator - MS Dynamics

Skills: Microsoft SQL Server Administration - intermediate to advanced/T-SQL intermediate to advanced

Summary:

A SQL Server DBA with experience working with Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains, the right candidate will be albe to quickly come up to speed with Legacy work, make improvements to tables and indexing as well as drive out the future approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshot and resolve DB performance issues
  • Oversee performance tuning, including server profiling and index tuning
  • Monitor SQL Servers for excessive loads and contention that may impact performance
  • Create complex database queries, indexes and stored procedures
  • Document and maintain database system specifications, including diagrams and connectivity charts
  • Develop, test and administer database security procedures and recovery procedures
  • Assist other Product Development and IT organizations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of job related experience - SQL Server
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write correspondence
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in a verbal fashion
  • Ability to manage daily tasks and projects to conclusion
  • Clearly understands the priorities of the department and makes adjustments to tasks as appropriate
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks within time constraints with minimal errors
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team
  • Position requires working with members of other departments to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to research performance issues and implement a solution

Desirable:

  • Experience with GP implementations
  • Experience with other ERP implementations
