Description
IMMEDIATE HIRE for (2) Senior Network Engineers with Data Center and Design experience! These are 6 month contract positions (potential to extend) located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
DUTIES
Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Network and its workings (IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Routing, Virtualization, etc)
Configure and setup Switches, Routers, Concentrators and Security appliances for access to vital business applications.
Design, setup and configure complex switching environments.
Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking.
Configuring and installing network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems.
Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support
Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications to resolve operational issues and restore services.
Develop detailed implementation plans to accommodate network growth, and enhancements by maximizing functionality of network equipment (ie Cisco/HP Routers, gateways, Switches, etc.); monitor network implementation, providing support in an timely and accurate manner.
Know and support approved corporate and departmental policies relating to business procedures, philosophies and conduct; design network performance reports, detailing network status, for management in an accurate and timely manner.
REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years network infrastructure experience required.
Implementation and operational experience in advanced medium to large-scale data centers and service provider networks, LAN/WAN projects and design.
Detailed understanding of Layer 3/4 protocols and behaviors.
Routing protocol operation and interaction (OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP and BGP-4).
Knowledge of QoS principals and applications.
Routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms.
VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN).
Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, ISL, EtherChannel, and Multicast.
Hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of Networking Routers and Switches (desirable).
Advanced TCP/IP.
Switches/Routers configuration (Cisco required - HPN desirable).
Knowledge of FCoE and SAN concepts (Not Required but Helpful).
Extensive experience in fault isolation and troubleshooting logic and techniques.
Development of test plan methodologies, test plan creation and test plan execution.
CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirement: Cisco Certified Network Advanced (CCNA) or HP Network Infrastructure (AIS)
Preferred: CCIE, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, HP Network Architect (MASE), HP Network Infrastructure (ASE)
EDUCATION
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field preferred.
