Description
Network Security Design Engineer is required to join a globally recognised company across two of their UK based offices.The role would include;
- Implementing appropriate security systems to provide protection against unauthorised access, viruses and other security breaches.
- Implementation of the company's IT security policy - e.g. Patch management, remote access systems availability and vulnerability testing.
- Proactively managing the communications infrastructure, utilising network management tools to ensure maximum availability and optimum service uptime.
- Advise and take responsibility for the resolution of complex technical problems involving the network and security infrastructure.
As a Network Security Design Engineer you will have:
- Experience working with and supporting Cisco local area network (LAN) equipment
- Experience working with and supporting Cisco routers (2900; 3900), to support existing WAN infrastructure
- Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols
- Experience managing, securing and troubleshooting externally facing security devices (Checkpoint; Cisco ASA)
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Juniper, Checkpoint or Cisco firewall security experience
- CCNP Routing and Switching certification and/or Checkpoint CCSA or CCSE certification (desirable)
