Senior LTE RF Optimization Engineer Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Reston and Orlando.
Our client is looking for multiple Senior RF Optimization Engineer requires excellent knowledge of principles, practices and procedures applied in providing advice and consultation on RF engineering matters. The Senior RF Optimisation engineer should have a robust 3G and LTE field experience and have successfully completed a number of LTE RF Optimization Projects on Ericsson, ALU, Samsung, NSN Networks. They will need to work with minimum supervision, conferring on technical issues only for unusual situations. Within the context of job responsibilities, assignments require originality and ingenuity and considerable latitude for un-reviewed decision-making.
The Snr RF Optimisation engineer will be responsible for:
- KPI Trend Analysis
- Perform Parameter Audits and Definition inconsistency checks
- Worst Cell Identification and Worst Cell Analysis
- Provide physical and soft Network Change Recommendations, evaluate the impacts
- Coverage and footprint Optimization using OSS and DT tools
- Capacity Optimization and Radio Resource Utilization
- Advance Parameter tuning for VOLTE
- Perform parametric optimization for effective load balance between LTE Carriers and towards IRAT in accordance with operator strategy.
- Implementation of new features and tuning LTE radio network parameters
- Prepare and publish technical guidelines and results of technical studies
- Prepare and publish engineering level, executive-level reports
- Interface with different project managers within the client and customer to catch up with deadlines of ongoing and future work related with RF optimization.
The successful engineer will need to have:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Experience in RF wireless design engineering for a telecommunications systems.
- Excellent knowledge on 3G/LTE RF network design, deployment and optimization.
- 2-3 years good working knowledge and experience on LTE Optimization
- Knowledge of statistical and digital communications, antennas, propagation, link budgets, and the LTE air interface standard in required
- Excellent knowledge on PCI, RRS, PSC planning principles.
- Ericsson or ALU equipment experience required and moshell knowledge is a plus
- NSN & Samsung equipment experience is a plus
- Very good knowledge on LTE/3G key performance indicators (KPIs) both on OSS and Drive Test.
- Hands on experience in trace analysis. End-user/customer problem investigation
- Understanding of radio network alarms, and their effects
- Proficient with MapInfo and Drive test post-processing tools
- Effective customer relationship skills.
