Storage Engineer - NetApp Network Attached Storage - SAN
A Storage Engineer is required for one of our customers.
Storage Engineers speaking Dutch are strongly recommended.
Tasks
- Main focus will be deployment, management and support of NETAPP NAS storage systems.
- As a project team member identify optimization opportunities through consolidation or simplification and executes those plans if there are substantial strategic/cost justifications
- Deployment, management, support, troubleshooting of the storage environment in EMEA with a strong focus on Netapp NAS. This can include the high end data storage, Storage Area Network if required.
- Storage provisioning to middle and large size systems in different business related projects
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of NETAPP NAS and being able to deploy, manage and troubleshoot these environments on a daily basis
- Additional knowledge of migration of data, CIFS and NFS protocols is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of common storage provisioning tasks and concepts
- Solve general & performance issues, performance monitoring, planning and tuning.
- In depth Knowledge of SAN, SAN storage arrays is a plus
- Knowledge of Backup concepts and backup technology, specifically NetBackup, including via LAN, via SAN and advanced backup technologies is a plus
- In depth knowledge of integration of NAS components into OS (UNIX, VMware, Linux, Windows) is a plus
- Able to integrate his/her technical knowledge and skills in an environment that is highly regulated and subject to different ITIL based processes (Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management)

Languages skills:
- Dutch is strongly recommended
- English is a must

- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
- Adhere to processes, Quality and Control according to internal and global imposed regulations
- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
- On-call permanency is possible
- Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
- Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter
