Oil and Gas Service Comapny (Refinery & Corrosion Expert)A globally reputable Oil & Gas Services company specializing in asset performance, management and engineering analyses is looking for a Sr. Corrosion Engineer to join their growing team in Houston, TX.
The company provides independent assurance and consultative advice to companies operating high-risk and capital-intensive Upstream and Downstream assets. Refinery equipment experience is ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
This position includes providing field metallurgical consulting and evaluation.
Duties will include:
*Identifying corrosion mechanisms and rates in operating units
*Failure analysis
*Risk prioritization of process equipment
*Inspection planning
*Materials selection
*Welding and repair consulting
Sr. Corrosion Engineer will interact with the RBI department to provide support for Risk Based Inspection and Reliability Based Mechanical Integrity implementation projects. Support will include performance of corrosion studies, risk assessments, and inspection planning using RBMI technology.
Sr. Engineer will be involved with national organizations to interact with peers to represent the company as well as gain knowledge on state of the art tools and methods of evaluation.
Sr. Engineer will be involved understanding industry trends and problems in plant equipment as well as developing proposals.
Job Requirements
*Minimum 5-10 years' experience in Corrosion Engineering in a Refinery Environment.
*Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Material Engineering.
*Strong expertise in the oil & gas refining industry is a requirement.
