Network Security Specialist
Main responsibilities:
Ensure an adequate level of security of the Network environment by contributing to the support and maintenance of the Network security solutions according to my client security policies, standards and guidelines.
1.Operational Procedures
*Implement and maintain operational procedures for network security in accordance with the client security policies and technical standards.
*Implement and maintain consistent network security monitoring procedures and metrics across my client organization.
2.Operations
*Ensure the secure management and operation of infrastructure assets according to agreed standards (ITIL, ISO 27001, SOX) and SLA's.
*Provide expert security knowledge for investigations, projects and operations.
Incident Management
*Follow the network and platform security incident response and escalation process. Assess, resolve, escalate, and report security violations. Provide an escalation point for the regional organizations.
Functional support
*Implement and provide End-to-End l support for my client Security solutions.
Monitoring
*Regularly perform risk analysis on our implementations, report levels of risk and advice on how to mitigate network security risk.
*Ensure relevant security patches are deployed on networking systems across my client organization to ensure a consistent level of platform security.
*Work with the IS/IT Services network support groups to implement preventative and detective measures to control the risk of network security violations.
Reporting
*Implement, review and assess network and platform security metrics and report security status.
3.Communication and Training
*Liaise with Network Security Specialists and network support teams to ensure the alignment of my client systems to security policies and technical standards.
*Communicate network security policies and technical standards to network and platform support teams
Skills:
- Monitoring and Management of CheckPoint, Sourcefire IDS/IPS, CheckPoint SmartCenter, SourceFire Defense Center, RSA
- Authentication Manager
- Knowledge of Security Incident response & investigation
