An excellent opportunity working within a leading global bank, working on their card fraud prevention strategy.

The purpose of the role is to progress the design, implementation and monitoring of fraud strategies and projects for the Banks Debit Card and Credit Card portfolios. You will get great exposure to various areas of the business as you will be liaising with a range of internal colleagues & third-party vendors to deliver tangible improvements in fraud loss and customer experience. You will also be Providing guidance on tactical & strategic fraud control measures to colleagues in Europe

The jobholder is responsible for ensuring every opportunity to reduce fraud losses is explored, whilst ensuring that preventative measures introduced do not adversely impact the customer. The jobholder also has authority to amend existing and introduce new strategies subject to maintaining appropriate balance between fraud loss, operational cost & customer experience

Required Experience:
*Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline (Maths, Statistics, Physics, Operational Research) or at least 2 years experience in a fraud or risk analysis role
*Analytical approach to problem solving & decision making
*Highly numerate and able to interpret MI and statistical information
*Accuracy and attention to detail
*Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) - ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of audiences
*Innovative, challenging & able to 'think outside the box'
*Commitment to ongoing improvements to customer experience
*Highly IT literate (core MS Office products)
*Self confidence and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment

Desirable Experience:

*Experience of using SAS (or equivalent) analytical software to analyse large quantities of numerical data
*Card Fraud Operations experience
*Knowledge of & experience in using key card fraud management tools such as SAS FM or Falcon
*Experience of customer service environment of a retail bank or card issuer
*Experience of working with third party vendors
