My Reading based Insurance client is looking for an Interim Risk manager to support their Operational & Insurance risk function.
They are looking for someone who fits the following criteria:
Role
- assist with the identification of risks
- assist with the assessment and rating of risks
- assist with the design and implementation of control to mitigate risks
- monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigating controls
- monitor performance against Key Risk Indicators
- assist with the preparation and review of Risk Policies and procedures
- assist with the management of the ERM framework
- assist with the ORSA process
- identify and conduct impact analyses re. emerging regulatory risks
- prepare draft reports (including reports to the Risk Committee)
- assist with other matters arising
- deputise for the Head of Risk & Compliance, as required
Competencies
ü comprehensive knowledge of regulations pertaining to risk management
ü excellent knowledge of Operational and Conduct Risks
ü good understanding of prudential risk and capital management
ü good working knowledge of general insurance products and practices
ü assertive/resilient
ü excellent communication and negotiation skills
ü ability to develop practical solutions in respect of issues arising
ü good presentation skills
ü attention to detail
ü ability to perform activities within scheduled timescales
Knowledge & Experience
- at least 5 years experience in a relevant Risk role
- general insurance/protection products background
