International Trade Supply Chain Consultant (Tax) - £425 - £485 per day

The role is for the Customs Duty Management programme that is focused on introducing controlled Customs Duty Management processes with improved governance & reporting, putting in place a trusted source of Customs Duty information available globally and ensuring that Customs Duty optimisation practices are Embedded across the value chain.

Key responsibilities
Work closely the business to identify, analyse, design and implement core business processes and workflows for the different duty management work streams
o Customs duty related audits and self assessments
o Customs duty related KPIs, Metrics and reporting
o Special regime database design & implementation
o Defining measurement technique for customs duty burden
Facilitating workshops to develop, agree and test the process designs with the relevant parties
Documentation of process and work flows
Development of clear and detailed process maps and business requirements
Identifying issues and risks
Development and implementation of compliance metrics and controls
Development and roll out of training material
Business transition from project to GMS

Basic Requirements
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a customs, duty management or logistics/supply chain role.
Strong communication and people skills.
Experience as a Business Analyst on complex projects
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyse and develop business processes and workflows
Experience facilitating workshops and focus groups
Strong business engagement skills
Experience developing business requirements
Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation and presentations
Ability to produce documentation to a high standard.
Experience of developing compliance processes
Highly effective change management and problem resolution skills.
Strong leadership backed up by considerable influencing abilities
Capable project management expertise and strong commitment to continuous improvement
Process management skills - ability to define and deliver new ways of working based on (distribution) industry best practice
Ability to work off own initiative and comfortable with delegated responsibility
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

This contract is based in West London and offers a daily rate between £ depending on experience for an initial 6 months.
