BACKGROUND
Real Staffing are helping an NHS Acute Trust in London recruit for an interim Capital Accountant who can provide short-term cover whilst they look to fill a vacancy on a substantive basis.
This is the ideal role for a hands-on Capital Accountant who has recently held assignments within a challenging NHS hospital and is looking to further develop their skills.
KEY DUTIES
- Preparing month-end capital reports
- Preparing monthly meetings
- Providing financial advice to support capital expenditure
- Liaising with capital programme managers
- Assessing capital schemes and reviewing budgets
- Reviewing business cases
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Monthly reconciliations
- Ad-hoc project assignments
KEY SKILLS
- Operate at Band 6 level
- Part-Qualified Accountant
- Managed NHS capital and fixed assets
- Recent assignment within an NHS provider
- Good Excel and system skills (E-financials)
Rate is negotiable and will dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
