Fujitsu Technology Solutions is actively looking for an Enterprise Architect for a long term role in Brussels:

GENERAL

The European External Action Service (EEAS) composed of around 1.600 staff members located in Headquarters in Brussels also manages the European Union network of Delegations spread all over the world.
This Delegation network, composed of more than 5.500 staff members and based in more than 130 third countries, requires corporate web based Information Systems to support its daily business management in a large range of business domains. As stated in EEAS' ICT annual work plan, external service providers will be required to sustain its maintenance and development activities of Information Systems projects to streamline and modernize its business processes management, especially in the areas of business and technical analysis, automated testing activities and mobile device architectures and programming.
Projects will cover not only EEAS's activities in Delegations but also in Headquarters.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

The tasks to be performed cover the complete life cycle of a web based information system construction and maintenance.
Under EEAS Information System Section Project Leader supervision, and in close relation with the business unit owner of the existing/future information systems, the service provider will assume and/or assist in delivering the following tasks:
Architecture and design of new information systems for mobile devices.
Review of the architecture of existing systems
Design of component architecture and building blocks for mobile devices
Analysis of the integration of different information systems
Follow up of the data analysis and data modelling.
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
Technical interface between the project leaders and the analysts.
Production of software architecture documents
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users, including those happening outside of EEAS services at Headquarters or in EU Delegations,
Participation to missions in EU Delegations premises

WORKING ENVIRONMENT, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The tasks to be performed, MDR.A3 IS Section working environment, and its development projects' life cycle require the following knowledge and skills:
Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture,
In depth knowledge of application design
Good knowledge of modelling tools and languages (eg UML),
Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile),
Knowledge and a proven professional experience of mobile device technology (eg IOS Apple, etc.) services, message oriented Middleware, Web Services, etc.
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments,
Ability to work (speaking/writing) in English for all project artifacts and meetings, and a good understanding of French, especially good redaction skills and technical presentation skills
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication,
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment
