Finance Analyst
Initial 6 month contract position paying £12+ per hour, based in Tadworth
Our client is a leading global blue chip pharmaceutical company seeking a bright and enthusiastic Finance Analyst to join their talented team. This role is suitable for someone who is currently studying their accounting qualifications and has some solid accounting experience built up already.
The role will focus on analysing data in order to provide financial information to senior management and budget holders. You will need to have stakeholder relationship skills as well has solid accounting skills specifically, month end, costing, Statutory and Audits.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse and interpret "part analysed" data in order to generate and provide regular financial information and advice to both corporate and finance business partners support them in the management of Business Unit financial performance
* Investigate complex and/or sensitive issues and queries from management, providing the appropriate information and analysis to enable effective resolution
* Complete manual accruals, recharges, re-classes and all other period close requirements
* Manage the distribution cost model and support other team members with ad hoc activities
* Provide financial data and guidance to UK Finance Business Partners and Senior Management and Regional Teams in order to support business decision-making
* Supervise and coach trainees within the department in order to transfer skills, knowledge and expertise and to support ongoing development
* Coach non-financial managers in order to improve and enhance their ability to understand and interpret financial information and encourage the exercise of good budgetary control practices
* Manage the UK finance Intranet website, SharePoint site and finance shared drive
* Assist the Inventory/Cost of Sales aspects of the Business (GMX, SAP)
* Perform audit sampling procedures for the US, SOX, Internal and Statutory audits
