Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company is currently seeking a Clinical Scientist (CS) in Basel for 6 months. This is a global pharmaceutical company with presence in varies countries around the world. They are well-known for their ability in pioneering science. They operate an open-minded environment, particularly within clinical study teams. This is a role with responsibility, where you will be empowered with the relevant decision-making authority, but will equally be accountable for your actions and responsibilities. This is an international, English-speaking environment.This position requires the following skills:
- An advanced degree in life science/healthcare or equivalent, with at least 4years experience in clinical trials from a technical and operational side
- Ability to work within matrix organizations, individually and in a team, running several trials simultaneously
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Fundamental knowledge of principles of statistical analysis
- Basic understanding and experience in transplantation is a clear advantage
This position entitles these main duties:
- Contribute to the development and review of Clinical Development Plan (CDP) with focus on operational aspects
- Lead the clinical trial protocol development process by independently translating the Clinical Development Plan strategy and approved trial concept sheets into efficient, high quality, executable clinical protocols and related documents:
- Seek external (e.g. KoL, regulatory authorities, patients associations) and internal (e.g. CSU, CPO Medical Advisors) medical/scientific input
- Align input with other line functions
- Drive science by incorporation of innovative designs
- Obtain approval from internal review boards
- Ensure trial implementation according to protocol
