my client is looking for an Embedded development Engineer.

My client is well known in its sector.

  • As Embedded Development Engineer you will help defining, analysing, developing, validating and documenting the platform software. Developments include the development of the functionality and (automatic) unit testing and (automatic) functional testing within the test framework (using PyTest).

  • You will cooperate with a flexible development team consisting of colleagues in Belgium and abroad, which means that good communication skills are essential. We will expect you to be able to direct the course of development activities carried out by colleagues both at home and abroad. Our development methodology is based on Agile and knowledge about the methodology is an advantage.

  • This position requires excellent technical skills and extensive knowledge of Linux OS as well as the programming languages C and Python.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Embedded systems is a definite big advantage. In addition, you have an innovative attitude and knowledge of a range of tooling with which to support developments. You are quick to get to grips with new technologies.

  • A solid basis in security and knowledge of cryptography are added advantages.

  • Coding skills: C, Python, Bash, Java (advantage) - Synchronous and asynchronous programming - Knowledge about PyTest

  • Linux and eCOS; excellent knowledge of Linux requested

  • Experience in software development for Embedded systems, including tooling (by preference in POS environments)

  • Strong aptitude for analysis, a results-oriented worker; Innovative attitude and technology minded; Excellent team spirit; Dynamic

  • Outstanding communication skills (French or Dutch and good command of spoken and written English)

  • Added advantages: Knowledge of Agile methodology, Secure programming techniques, Solid background in security (hardware and/or software) and applied cryptography
