Seeking an experienced Weld Engineer to provide Weld Manufacturing Engineering support and troubleshooting for current welding operations at the facility. This role will support current shop floor production builds through process improvement initiatives, product engineering changes, Lean Manufacturing improvements, personnel balances for the different build rates, and all special projects.

Additionally:
Investigate, gather, and analyze data for identifying root cause and implement solutions for welding issues in the departments of responsibility.
Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for welding operations in departments.
Develop and implement cell layouts to improve material flow and material presentation in areas of responsibility.
Lead cycle time and productivity improvement activities for departments.
Lead implementation of all new manufacturing processes and technologies in departments including robotic applications.

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, 5+ years of Weld experience and a 4-year Degree in Weld Engineering is required. (Must have degree due to ISO Certification)

Additionally required:
Experience with Miller manual welding equipment is preferred, but experience with Lincoln equipment is also acceptable
Ideal candidate will be very engaged and prefers to be hands-on. Should be willing to work side by side with employees at all levels in different roles to train, explain, or collaborate as needed.
Excellent communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Ideal candidate will have experience programming Motoman and Panasonic Robot equipment, but general knowledge and understanding of the equipment is also acceptable.
Working knowledge of Excel and Access.
Experience in Mig and Tig welding processes on medium to thin gauge materials.
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, weld tooling design, and total preventative maintenance.
Experienced working within current fast paced product build environment.
Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools.
A Certified Weld Instructor Certification is preferred.
Must be flexible to accommodate for business needs and meetings outside of the typically scheduled first shift, as needed.
