Primary Function of Position:
Responsible for ensuring suppliers meet ISI requirements for cost, quality, delivery and service. Drive suppliers to continuously improve business and manufacturing processes. Monitor supplier performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority to:
Ensure compliance to quality management system and regulatory requirements by conducting audit activities under the guidance of the lead auditor, conducting desktop audits and working to become a lead auditor.
Create strategies to effectively optimize the supply base by supporting team efforts to optimize supply networks.
Drive suppliers to continually improve their business and manufacturing process performance, including ship to stock programs using a collection of best practices in project management, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC and negotiation by executing multiple clearly defined assignments as part of a team effort (requires minimal guidance).
Develop and use metrics for supplier part cost, delivery, quality, capacity and capability by using metrics to judge required intervention or change at a supplier or in a commodity.
Driving change to ISI specifications as necessary by supporting changes to specifications and drawings including driving the ECO process to implementation.
Provide effective and timely supply base health information (with management guidance) to management by creating and delivering data-driven supply base information to any level management at ISI.
Prepare and deliver supplier communications as required by working with management and suppliers on scorecards, creation of QBRs, Supplier Summits, etc.
Works with suppliers and ISI engineering for the new product introduction to
DFM by supporting the team effort with suppliers in the development cycle to feedback manufacturability improvements in the designs prior to production.

Skill/Job Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering or equivalent
3-6 years related experience in Supplier Quality and/or Supplier Development or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Lean/6 Sigma/SPC techniques

Excellent analytical skills along with good judgment
Knowledge of some manufacturing processes
Familiarity with 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485
