I currently have a requirement for an Application Fraud Strategy Manager, to work for a leading bank North of Manchester.Role Purpose:
- Responsible for achieving the Banks Application Fraud Loss Targets
Optimise Application Fraud systems to maximise Fraud Preventation whilst minimising false positive matches
Areas of Accountability (Key deliverables):
- Lead a team to develop, implement and maintain strategies and systems for the management of customer acquisition fraud ('application fraud')
- Develop strategies, policies, models and systems to improve how effectively potential application fraud is identified and mitigated in order to minimise risk exposure and associated fraud losses. This includes all Bank products and brands and covers all relevant sites.
- Work with stakeholders across CBG Business units and within Financial Crime Risk Management, deliver a portfolio of projects and implement business changes within budget and on-time to reduce application fraud losses whilst minimising impact on genuine customers
- Ensure that the Bank has identified, assessed and mitigated against application fraud risks, working with business areas to develop and evolve operational controls to optimise protection from current, emerging and potential threats.
- Continuously review and adjust 1st and 3rd party application fraud strategies, policies, models and systems ensuring prevention measures and costs remain proportionate to the risk within the context of the Bank's prevailing risk appetite
- Drive continuous improvement by producing compelling business cases which demonstrate the return on investment in the context of potential application fraud losses, income challenges and customer proposition
- Manage relationships with 3rd party partner organisations, monitoring, developing and optimising system performance (e.g. Experian, Synectics, Jaywing, CIFAS)
- Develop management information to enable effective mitigation of application fraud risk
- Develop and maintain a network of external industry peers and experts and actively research industry best practice
- Lead and manage the continual review of emerging technologies relevant to the mitigation of application fraud risk
- Provide high quality and compelling recommendations to influence policies, strategy and approach
- Lead, manage and develop a team of analysts
