Job Mission

As a Fluid Dynamics Research Scientist you are responsible for the analysis and invention of new concepts involving temperature and contamination control that brings improvements in next generation high tech Tools. This work consists of methodological analysis, set up of test plans and discussions with system engineers, external partners and project leaders for diverse challenges involving thermal and contamination control aspects of their machines.

Job Description

  • Generation of new ideas for temperature and contamination related challenges in lithography machines
  • Set up of tests and analysis for showing which critical aspects should be addressed to come to a proof of concept
  • Set up of activities with external partners for modelling and calculations of complex arrangements for solving critical issues. The focus of the modelling is on very low pressure gas flows including heat transfer
  • Transfer of new concepts to development and engineering organization

Education

Technical University PhD in Physics or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in the field of Fluid Dynamics.

Experience

  • Solid design and theoretical experience in the above mentioned field of interest either in research or industry. Experience in modelling flow and heat transfer in low pressure is preferred.
  • Some recent working experience in the field of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and contamination control with industrial applications

Personal skills

  • Candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic explorative environment
  • Inquisitive and strong personality
  • Pragmatic attitude with an analytical view.
  • Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.

Context of the position

The Research Flow & Temperature group is part of the Research department of this client. Its task is to identify and fill in the technological gaps in the future roadmap of lithography and the lithography market. Our focus is on temperature and contamination control including the mechanical and material aspects of modules used in lithography tools. We work in small teams and deliver a proof of concept that can be transferred to Development and Engineering. We intensively work together with external research institutes and universities.
