Description

Responsible for working with management and front line personnel to analyze and understand business needs and strategy in order to document and recommend appropriate IT solutions. Serve as a liaison between IS business partners and IT Solutions Development personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in business process modelling sessions.
A ssists in the collection and consolidation of required information and data in the development of analysis documentation in accordance with the SDLC methodology.
Assists and supports the development teams in the design and development of IT solutions.
Seeks resolution to issues and notify appropriate management staff.
Supports the maintenance and evolution of the logical data model for assigned Business Unit(s).
Develops strong business and system knowledge relating to functional areas and assigned Business Unit(s).
Constructs and maintains the business process model for assigned Business Unit(s).
Supports the creation of business procedures for assigned Business Unit(s).
Participates in the creation of the User Acceptance Test plans during Requirements Definition and reviews User Acce ptance Testing results for compliance with business requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline and at least 3 years of experience, including system analysis, design, and development. An Associates Degree in computer information systems, business administration or equivalent discipline, plus 6 related years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Nine + years of experience beyond minimum in the definition and execution of Information Systems Projects may be considered in lieu of degree.

Practical experience in Business Process Analysis and Modeling and experience in all phases of a SDLC (Systems Development Lifecycle) methodology.

Strong verbal, written, organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with business partners, IT team members, and senior management.

Ability to learn and articulate defined business processes. Working knowledge of business software applications and hardware technologies. Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies.

Comprehends technical design specifications and possesses knowledge of IS development tools and technologies in support of the IT Architecture Strategy.

Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.

Demonstrated ability to understand and describe the business environment in which a project exists. Ability to evaluate & interpret end user information requirements and develop and implement technical solutions.

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite tools.

Working knowledge of Business Process Modeling tools, Entity Relational Modeling tools, Project Management software (ie MS Project) SAP, and Microsoft Technologies (SQL Server, BizTalk, Reporting Services, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server etc.) a plus.
