Job description-
Own the electrical architecture of the vehicle, leading technical decisions and strategy. -
Work intimately with other engineering groups to deliver highly integrated systems that excel in performance, robustness, user experience, and design. -
Lead creation of schematics as well as detailed design and board layout. -
Participate in bring-up and testing of hardware, ready to dive in and get to the root of problems as they are discovered. -
Define electrical requirements and design standards. -
Lead outside consultants and new employees. -
Conduct design reviews, participate in DFMEA, and incorporate team feedback into system design. -
Work with suppliers to deliver on quality and cost, travelling as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
To achieve our aggressive technology, product and timeline goals we're structured as a fast-paced, highly-integrated and multi-disciplinary team. Here's what we expect you to bring to the table:
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues and justify decisions.
- 7+ years experience (i.e. several products in market/use) in analogue and embedded circuit design. Power electronics experience strongly preferred (magnetics experience a plus).
- 5+ years experience with electrical CAD
- Experience with complete development lifecycle, through volume manufacturing.
- Experience with automotive applications (environmental, reliability, regulatory, safety).
- Motorcycle or performance vehicle enthusiast or automotive experience.
- BSEE or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters degree preferred.
