Job Description

All aspects of Structural Welding using MIG flux core Process in submarine construction. Will be required to weld a wide range of material thicknesses in all positions. Consistently produce welds to the required acceptance standard that includes MPI, X-Ray and U/T examination.

Additional Information
A contract offer will be dependent on satisfactory completion of 5 multi-run test Pieces consisting of a Horizontal Butt, inclined Vertical butt, Downhand Butt, Overhead Butt and a further overhead fillet.
Must be willing to work as part of a team and prepared to work shifts, evenings and weekends if required to do so by the business.

Responsibilities

Work safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.

Previous experience of large multi-run Welded fabrication to X-Ray and Ultra Sonic Standards.

Previous experience in a related industry, Shipbuilding, Off Shore, Petro-Chem and other Heavy industries.

The Individual

Qualifications/Experience:

Time-served Welder.

C & G Level 3 or equivalent.

NVQ L3 (dependent on time-served date).

Demonstrate experience in Shipbuilding, Nuclear, Petro-Chem, Offshore, Marine, Heavy Engineering

Due to the nature of our clients work candidates will need to be eiligible for UK eyes only clearance level.
