Position Responsibilities
  • Provide primary support of all Storage Area Network (SAN) storage supported through New York.
  • Work with vendors for issues such as patching, parts replacement and upgrades
  • Pro actively monitor use and availability all SAN infrastructure for performance
  • Maintain complete inventory and documentation of deployed systems.
  • Liaise with IT Production Engineers in troubleshooting complex, cross-platform issues.
  • Liaise with IT Production Engineers to gather requirements, design and deploy SAN storage
  • Identify operational and infrastructure risks within the environment
  • Generate reports and analysis on storage usage
  • Adhere to service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations and availability
  • Allocate storage to end-users and development teams based on established departmental requirements and available space
  • Evaluate emerging storage technologies, services and standards and align their benefits with the business strategy of the client


Position Requirements
  • 2-5 years SAN storage experience
  • Strong knowledge of EMC related hardware including: VMAX, DMX4, Celera, and Clariion
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SAN administration including: DMX/VMAX storage provisioning process, zoning, symmaskdb, symcli, SRDF, clones, unisphere, performance manager, PowerPath, FAST, thin provisioning, RAID, SAN troubleshooting, breakfix ability and vmware connectivity
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Brocade SAN switch and CMCNE is required
  • Good knowledge of RHEL, Windows, VMWARE and AIX operating systems as they relate to the SAN infrastructure Knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS)
  • Good NAS administration skills for NetApp FAS filer, vfiler, snapmirror, snapshots, quotas, volumes, and networking concepts
  • Perl/Python scripting desired
  • Must be well-organized, responsible, have good verbal and written communication skills, and able to multitask in trading environment.
  • Work as a member of a team, adhere to corporate standards and change management processes, and work to improve IT standards and policies.
