Sr Design Quality Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Medical Device - Western WIMy client, an industry leading Medical Device Company based in the greater Twin Cities area has a fantastic opportunity in Design Quality Engineering. This is a 6 month contract paying between $55 and $65 per hour.
The Sr Design Quality Engineer will ensure that medical devices are developed and manufactured in accordance with industry standards, regulations and customer requirements. The Sr Design Quality Engineer will be utilizing design control and other engineering techniques to assist in the development of cutting edge medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Master Test Plans that include Design Verification, Validation and Process Validation activities
- Perform Validations related to product design and process
- Perform Risk Management activities - update Risk Management SOP's, FMECA
- Handle customer complaints
- Implement new process techniques, systems, and procedures that improve efficiency and are compliant with ISO 13485
- Create and Manage Design History Files
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related fields
- 5 years Medical Device industry experience
- Experience in Design Quality, R&D, or Process Development
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485, ISO 14971
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
