My client, a leading bank, is currently looking for a Lead and a KYC Sanctions Analyst who will report to the banks Sanctions Financial Crime team. Based in their London offices on a contract basis paying a daily rate of £p/d depending on experience on an initial 3 month contractYou will meet the following requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of US/ EU Sanctions legislations;
Strong understanding and interpretation of Group Sanctions Policy.
Conduct detailed reviews of customers identified to have a footprint in sanctioned countries taking into consideration applicable risk appetite.
Conduct risk assessments through the performance of investigative internal research using a variety of internet and third-party sources.
Work closely with RMs in completing risk assessment forms and ensure timely completion and approval to support business as well as remain compliant with policy / legislation.
Liaise with various members of 2nd line Advisory Teams, various Compliance teams, the Client Onboarding Team and the businesses regarding sanctions issues, findings and recommendations.
Liaise with RMs on a regular basis to explain sanctions exposures when identified and steps required to be taken.
Oversee Sanctions breaches and ensure resolution; monitor client exits as a result of breach and update Senior Management accordingly.
Daily surveillance of clients payments held in bank filters to identify any sanctioned exposure.
Daily monitoring of tasks/ reviews to ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain weekly MI of tasks and escalate overdue items.
Update internal Sanctions procedures and SharePoint site as and when required.
File all relevant correspondence in specific files, update relevant task spreadsheets and ensure clear Audit trail is maintained.
Support Assurance and Audit teams during reviews.
