Y our challenge:You'll be required to provide a specialist, centralised technical support to the business introducing and maintaining Value Added Services to the business portfolio with specific focus on the companies ambition to deliver data services.Your role:You'll support all aspects of Value Added Service, platforms, applications and customer / end user devices.You'll be required to proactively and routinely check the Mobile data network to ensure measures are taken before incidents become service effecting.You'll identify the operational requirements for new mobile data products and own their delivery in to operations.You'll investigate root cause faults and initiate changes required to optimise the service.You'll provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to a range of technologies supporting the Value Added Services, and the Dimetra environment thereby reducing supplier support costs.You'll be required to maintain and support all CE and Cisco badged equipment in Airwave and provide 2nd and 3rd line Support to Airwave telephony.You'll mentor junior members of staff and to be a focal point for information on products and servcies.About you:You have an Engineering Degree ( IT) Based / Highier National DiplomaYou have expereince of working with within a mobile telecommunications network, ITsystems, Internet Protocol ,and a general understanding of fixed telecommunications networks and services.Knoweledge of Windows Server maintenace and SQL data base administration.You'll have an excellent understanding of Mobile data technologies.Ideally you are PRINCE 2 & ITIL qualifiedYour background will have included experience in carrying out scheduled Mobile data Maintenance including:Proactive monitoring & Maintenance responsibility for Mobile Application Platforms.Responsibility for VPN solutions using GPRS and 4G connectivity into Airwave.System level technical issues and problems relating to the MAG Data backend Service.Facilitate Operational awareness and knowledge sharing of Maintenance of the Mobile data Service throughout the Service Operations team.Sign-off and management of the acceptance of upgrades to released software including confidence testing.Preparation and deployment plans and in support of live implementation,Regular patch management across all elements of the service.Producing post-live documentation including statistics and root cause analysis on maintained issues.Providing regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders.Salary and benefits:31,,32525 days annual leave | Pension|Bonus|Grade : RedAbout us:Airwave leads the world in delivering mission critical communications services.
