Vmware & Storage Consultant/+3 months/Brussels, Belgium
For one of my clients, I'm urgently looking for a Vmware & Storage Consultant.
In this role as a Vmware & Storage Consultant you will be in charge of the following tasks around the client's Storage-Virtualization platform:
- Creating Low level Designs
- Implementing storage environments into customer datacentres ( from scratch and extensions)
- Storage Migrations via Vmware Vmotion
- Assisting Presales architect to make High Level Designs
- Technical coaching towards customers (planning activities, communication with customers and internal colleagues)
- Possibly Technical Project management
- Analyze and audit existing client architectures in order to define action plans
- Present and defend the solutions
- Work on one big or several small/medium customer projects simultaneously
Required skills
- Bachelor or Master in IT or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant strong experience with Midrange and
- Highend Storage Systems such as EMC, HP, IBM or HDS storage
- 5 Years of experience in Virtualization technologies, mainly VMware. Practical knowledge of SRM is a plus
- Experience with Storage migrations: Boxbased and Hostbased (Volume managers, tools, scripts)
- Experience with making designs (High Level and Low level) and writing/documenting these
- Good knowledge of SAN Technology (Brocade or Cisco)
- Windows & Linux/UNIX system administration skills, mainly from a storage integration and networking perspective
- Networking skills (For troubleshooting & design)
- Experience in leading and being operationally responsible for projects, from design to implementation
