Field Follow Technician, Test Technician, Maintenance

The Role: Contract 12months +
Rate: £15-£20 Ltd/Umbrella Dependent upon experience
I am currently looking for a technician with maintenance/field service related skills for a long term contract in Bruntingthorpe.
You will be involved in the setup and qualification of tests for telescopic handlers, dumpers and mobile platforms along with a range of other off-highway vehicles and their engines.
Vehicles will be tested by a team of operators who continually put the vehicles through their paces on a test track, and so for your part, you need to be capable of helping to set-up electrical and mechanical tests and to collect and report the data that is monitored on the on-board data acquisition systems.
Some general maintenance needs to be undertaken so knowledge of vehicle test, small component replacement and oil sample checks is highly desirable.
Although this role is advertised as a field follow role - travel is not required as you will be based on site at Bruntingthorpe as currently the main testing department and product team are currently located on the same site.
Preferred skills:
*Maintenance
*Off Road Vehicle/Agricultural machinery testing experience
*Machine tracking/Familiarity with data acquisition systems
*Understanding of Hydraulics
*Capability and willingness to update all necessary documentation and report technical issues
*Large Diesel engine knowledge advantageous
