Description
Fervor Creative is looking for an experienced Drupal developer for a 2- to 3-month contract starting immediately. This developer will create custom drupal sites from design mock-ups delivered by our team of designers. This is a backend developer position so we expect you to have a full understanding of the Drupal architecture, experience in PHP and MySQL and the ability to develop additional functionalities of the content management/production end.
Skills & Requirements
Required:
- Understanding Drupal API, commitment to following Drupal standards for coding and commenting
- Experience in creating custom themes, modules and/or distributions
- Strong knowledge of LESS and/or SASS (SASS preferred)
- Experience with Git and Github
- Strong knowledge of Foundation and/or Bootstrap
- Strong experience in responsive development and best practices
- Strong knowledge and experience of cross-browser/platform testing, identifying and resolving bugs
- Professionalism and excellence in communication
- Ability to build a site from a finished mock graphic (psd/ai)
Good to have:
- Experience in implementation of 3rd-party services (share example work if any)
- Capable of setting up LAMP environment
- Experience with WordPress
Ideal candidate:
- Demonstrates strong, high-quality code examples: custom themes and modules, use of Drupal API, mixins, etc.
- Outstanding work ethic when working either collaboratively or independently
- Balances multiple clients and competing priorities gracefully
- Can forecast development milestones and estimate hours and effort to deliver on time and on budget
- Can quickly evaluate, estimate and debug/troubleshoot issues as they arise
