Senior HR Business Partner/Human Resources Business Partner

My London based Public Sector client is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner/Human Resources Business Partner for a 3 month+ contract.

Key Tasks for the Senior HR Business Partner/Human Resources Business Partner:
* Lead HR projects acting as the project manager and an internal coach to other HR colleagues to promote their knowledge, understanding and application of project management principles and best practice.
* Support the HR Director with the creation and implementation of the client's People Strategy.
* Support the HR Director with the annual business planning activity, budget preparation and monitoring.
* Champion continuous improvement in HR service delivery through the monitoring of HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Make recommendations for improvements to the HR Director, Senior HR Business Partners and HR Operations Manager.
* Ensure an annual civil service engagement survey is undertaken by staff within the organisation. Prepare recommendations for corporate improvements and ensure a corporate action plan is created and regularly reviewed, providing feedback on progress and achievements to senior leaders.
* Support the HR Director to ensure a local HR team engagement action plan is in place and is being actively progressed by team members.
* Develop stakeholder relationships with Civil Service Corporate Talent leads, Cabinet Office reward leads, etc.
* Ensure Senior Civil Servant (SCS) resourcing, reward, talent identification, talent development and succession planning activities are in place, providing recommendations for action to senior leaders. Coach and challenge senior leaders as to best practice in these areas.
* Coordinate and ensure timely delivery of engaging and informative communications to staff and managers from HR, including effective use of internal communications tools such as the client's Intranet
* Act as the lead contact on the Civil Service Code, training and supporting the nominated officers as necessary and providing the liaison point for the Cabinet Office.
* Plan and implement the client's SCS pay remit and performance management cycle of activities.
* Ensure the client has an appropriate and effective collective agreement in place with trade unions/staff negotiation and consultation body. Oversee any interim arrangements until a new collective agreement is in place and ensure appropriate and ongoing arrangements thereafter.
* Provide HR advice, support and secretariat service to the staff representative body and the client's Remuneration Committee, including the writing of briefings and proposals

Experience/Skills Required for the Senior HR Business Partner/Human Resources Business Partner:
* Previous HR Business Partner experience
* Chartered MCIPD or similar qualification
