My client a well known Managed Service Company is currently seeking an experience Windows 7 Desktop SME to work on a complex Windows 7 Deployment.
The client is seeking a professional individual with strong technical expertise and a proven track record
As a Windows 7 Desktop SME/Level 3 Windows Support Engineer and who can demonstrate exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
The key deliverables for this role are:
- Windows 7 SOE - deployment through SCCM, break/fix support, OS and application diagnostics
- Group Policy Management - policy creation and modification, targeting, testing
- SCCM - agent endpoint diagnostics, application deployment for MOE, managing collections
- Active Directory administration
- Strong, independent problem solving methodology
- Familiarity of Lotus Notes 8.5/ Citrix/VMWare
- ITIL Foundations certificate (advantageous)/Microsoft certifications
- Level two/three Incident and Problem management for desktop and application related post deployment issues
- Work with application technical and business owners to resolve post migration issues
- Assist with post deployment application configuration for complex applications
- Create KB articles for known application and desktop issues to assist support teams during migration period
- Support Technical Lead and Lead Engineer as required
- Identify and record potential project issues and risks
The preferred candidates should have experience in the following:
- Min 5 years' in a similar role
- Knowledge of desktop applications and support processes
- Desktop application support experience
- Windows 7 configuration and customisation
- Driver and Application Packaging, deployment, compatibility testing, and remediation is desirable
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- 5 years + Application desktop support experience
- Deployed complex change management programs into large organisations (min 10K people) for large technology upgrades.
