QA Engineer (Software development) (m/f)

Description

• Participate in the design of the application and design its testability and traceability (functional and non-functional requirements) in coordination with Product Definition Engineers and Software Engineers
• Interface with relevant departments to identify interaction and ensure functional compatibility, risks and dependencies
• Build Test Strategy and Test plans with Quality managers, Product Definition Engineer and Software Engineers
• Develop automated tests and test scripts to perform functional, regression and non-functional validations across the different phases of the software development cycle
• Execute the test campaigns for each key milestone of the development cycle
• Investigate anomalies highlighted during executions with Product Definition Engineers and Software Engineers and the other Quality Engineers in Central and specialized Divisions
• Regroup anomalies of the same nature in PTR (problem tracking record, a.k.a. software defect)
• Report results to the management and to the Quality Managers with clear warning if the results are below the targets of the agreed KPI thresholds
• Organize meetings with Product Definition Engineers, Software Engineers and central teams to optimize the configurations and the data set-up
• Provide a subset of the tests and scripts to test coordinators (for monitoring) and quality assurance services (for end-to-end Quality Regression Tests)
• Increase technical knowledge to be able to perform complex investigations and to create test code from production traffic

• Very good knowledge in TDD (test-driven development)
• Strong development background in J2EE (Linux, JBoss, Hibernate, Oracle)
• Very good knowledge of quality, testing and test automation
• Experience in development of fully web based, high availability and mission critical applications
• Experience in continuous integration and nightly builds (Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium)
• Experience in agile methodology (Scrum)
• Strong English language skills
