- Participates in the development of MPV and CI/ACO Networks privacy programs and oversees and ensures uniform implementation of privacy policies within the CI/ACO Networks and MPV.
- Establishes and leads task forces as necessary to develop and implement MPV and the CI/ACO Networks procedures for timely compliance with system-wide policies and state and federal laws and regulations.
- Receives, documents, tracks and investigates complaints and incidents concerning MPV and the CI/ACO Networks privacy policies and procedures according to established guidelines and procedures and in coordination with similar functions and legal counsel.
- Assesses safeguards and facilitate identification and implementation of controls to mitigate breaches of privacy or confidentiality.
- Conducts privacy risk assessments and monitors quality of key elements of compliance with privacy policies and procedures. Reports findings, develops and implements corrective action plan.
- Ensures that MPV and the CI/ACO Networks maintain the appropriate consents, notices, and materials reflecting the company's current organizational and legal practices and requirements as they relate to privacy.
- Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy awareness and procedures within MPV and the CI/ACO Networks.
- Oversees implementation of MPV and the CI/ACO Networks privacy education program requirements and ensures maintenance of required documentation.
- Performs assessments and assists business sponsors with the implementation of necessary amendments to agreements with business associates and trading partners and monitors ongoing compliance thereof.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of three years experience in a management level position in a hospital or healthcare system. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing program-wide policies and procedures, conducting investigations, and identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or other nationally recognized privacy certification required prior to or within 6 months of hire.
Compensation
This position is for a one year contract with potential for extension or conversion. The position will pay a minimum of $100 per hour. Do not hesitate to apply today.
