Voice Operations EngineerOur client, in the IT-industry, is currently seeking for a Voice Operations Engineer in Zurich.
The Telecom Operations team is responsible for operating voice telecommunication services for a variety of internal customers, from casual phone users to demanding contact center agent groups. The Telecom Operations team provides a superior quality and highly resilient IP-based voice transport layer, leveraging our client's own global MPLS network and a number of global as well as in-country VoIP/PSTN carrier interconnects. We're seeking passionate voice operations engineers to actively monitor our client's global SIP-based network, troubleshoot performance, availability, quality and security glitches, and to work closely with network architects on continually optimizing the network design and our global front-line voice support team. You will be based in Zurich and will not be required to travel.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor voice network for availability, performance, quality and security issues
· Respond to and troubleshoot VoIP-related incidents (tier 2)
· Analyze failures for patterns and feed voice engineers with design optimization proposals
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (in lieu of degree, 4 years relevant experience)
· Experience with operating complex corporate, call center or telecom service provider VoIP (SIP) based networks
· Proficiency in English language, spoken and written
· IP network engineering knowledge
· Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Some scripting (Python preferred)
· Experience with OpenSource VoIP projects, Acme Packet SBC, Avaya PBX platforms
