For a client in Zurich we are currently looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager (PMI).Job Summary:
This project manager is responsible for the operational management of Global/cross Segment or Function projects and ensures that the overall project objectives are clearly defined and met. Manages projects which are large, highly complex, have multi-faceted change and communications elements and which have significant business impact.
This role is responsible for project planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and reporting; adequate resource planning and management; request evaluation and authorization, as well as review of cost estimates including supplier estimates, as well as all the financial aspects of the projects including managing of project budget, forecasting and reporting actual and forecast expenditures. Coordinates delivery of work products from all parties involved; liaises with the customer and function.
Job tasks:
· Leads and directs the project planning effort
· Determines the team structure according to size of the project and secures the resources needed to successfully complete it
· Leads the project team and coordinates the work effort
· Manages the risk of execution and change, reporting to Sponsor/Steering committee
· Has overall responsibility for project risk management and establishing effective controls
· Accountable for the completion of all project management deliverables to required level of quality
· Presents updates in meetings, although has no voting authority; responsible for formally recording actions and decisions from the meetings
· Facilitates the delivery of the project solution to support the benefits realization phase
· Tracking key project metrics, issues, risks, changes and to produce monthly status reports
· Project manages large teams (could be geographically dispersed) including external providers
